Read month-over-month moves
Step by step
Before you start. MoM on the Rates tab is the month-over-month change in a payer's median for a code.
- MoM compares a payer's median in the latest month of data with its median in the month before, in the same place. The footer under the table names both months.
- A move is material when it is at least 5% and at least 50 cents, both at once. Material moves show in bold.
- The Material moves tile above the table counts them for the place on screen, and the other filters do not change it. On a code page, the Last move column reads the same way.
- A dash means that payer has no rate for the month before. With only one month of data, the footer reads MoM needs two loaded months.
- Sort starts on Largest MoM move, which puts the biggest moves first, up or down.
- Rate alerts on a watched code use a separate threshold. Unless a row has its own, an alert needs a move of at least 5% and $1.
Tip. Once you watch a code, click Alert threshold on its row to set your own percent and dollar floor.
