Can I delete a chat or a brief?

No. Remove takes a chat off your list and Private hides a brief from your team, but the app has no permanent delete.

Remove a chat or hide a brief

Step by step

Before you start. The app has no delete for chats, briefs or comments. You can take a chat off your own list, and make a chat or brief Private so your team stops seeing it.

  1. If the chat is Shared with team, open it and click Private at the top so your team stops seeing it.
  2. In the Conversations list, point at the chat and click the three-dot menu on its row.
  3. Click Remove. When asked Remove from your list?, click Remove again.
  4. A teammate's chat under TEAM CHATS offers only Pin and Archive, so you can archive it but not remove it.
  5. To hide a brief from your team, open it and click Private under its title. Only the person who made it sees this switch.
  6. Private does not stop share links. Click Revoke beside each link under SHARE LINKS on the brief.

What you see. The chat leaves your own lists, including Saved in Insights Library. It is not deleted.

Tip. Remove has no undo in the app. To put a chat away with a way back, choose Archive, then later open ARCHIVED in the list and pick Restore from its menu.
