Why can't I save or share this answer?
Only complete answers can be saved, and answers in a conversation that used your saved research or drafted a bookmark or monitor cannot become insights. Ask the rate question in a new chat.

Fix an answer that won't save
Step by step
Before you start. Save insight keeps one complete Chat answer as an insight. When an answer cannot be saved, the button is grayed out or the Save sheet says why.
- If the answer was stopped, cut off, declined or failed, the Save insight sheet says only a complete answer can be saved. Ask again, narrower if needed, and save the new answer.
- If the answer stopped or the connection dropped while you watched, Save insight and Share are both grayed out. Hold the pointer over either one to read why.
- If the conversation searched your saved research or drafted a bookmark or monitor, Save insight stays grayed out for every answer in it.
- In that case, click New chat, ask the rate question on its own, and click Save insight under that answer.
- If you are reading a teammate's conversation marked read-only, there is no Save insight button. Ask the question in your own chat to save it.
- If the sheet says the answer's query could not be re-run, wait a moment and try again. If it says the re-run returned no rows, the data behind the answer is no longer served, so ask the question again.
What you see. A saved answer shows Saved to Insights in place of the button.
Tip. Share saves the answer first, so it is refused for the same reasons.
